I'm not entirely sure if I should still be reading this book... I loved the Geoff Johns issues (which I guess allowed me to carry over into this version of it), but the high from those issues is very rapidly starting to fade.
This book has very quickly gone from the fun formula of fixing some thing in the DCU's long-forgotten past to the (I'm convinced) trying to make the book as confusing as possible. When Michelle and Booster were trying to find a costume so that Killer Moth Booster wouldn't recognize Batman Booster (and picked Elvis?), I felt a little bit like Costello in "Who's on First?" (a skit which I seem to find funnier every time I hear it, but I digress). Some of the dialogue here seems a little forced (especially whenever the Gordons are involved) and the bits with the Batmobile just seem stupid. I think this book gets, maybe, one more month of my money, maybe.
On the other hand, the art was nice. It told the story, didn't confuse the heck outta me, and made everyone look like they were supposed to, so at least it's got that going for it...
