I'm going to start my review with a brief review of Spider-Man which also came out on Wednesday. Since Brand New Day it has been on of the most interesting arcs, self-contained, funny at times, but with an interesting story. Then I reached the end of my stack and discovered why I enjoyed Spider-Man, I wish all books were Hellblazer.
Maybe saying all books is a stretch, but since I've begun reading it, it has been one of the most solid books and one I often look forward to the most. I actually enjoyed the sketchier art in the last arc by Leonardo Manco a little more, but the art was good and the use of shadows really helped convey the darker feel of this book. I can't wait for the next issue.
Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 3 - Good
I agree, Hellblazer is defiantly one if the most solid comics on the market today! I just wish I could get more of my friends into it; especially those into Buffy & Angel. I also have to say that nearly every issue is damn flabbergasting it makes me wonder how the big crossovers get the attention this book truly deserves.
