Blue Beetle's first big story-arc has come to an end. And what an end it was!
This book is the best that came out of Infinite Crisis.
We pick up right where last issue left off: Jaime Reyes, alone on the space ship of the Negotiator. The last thing he uttered was "Khaji Da" and now we now what it means: It's the activation code for the scarab!
We see Jaime's plan come to fruition: He attacked the ship to get the scarab into the mainframe, where he could do the most damage.
I won't get into to much detail though: They blow up the ship, uncover the conspiracy and all that with the help of some "friends". (It really helps when the likes of Booster Gold, Guy Gardner, Ice, Fire or Batman are your friends.)
What astonishes me the most is that, after two years, this is still one of the best books DC puts out. With the exception of a couple odd issues, this has been great ride. It felt consistent the whole time and the character development has been very believable throughout the series.
It's rather seldom these days that a new character sticks, but I see a bright future for this new Blue Beetle, despite the numbers.
