Nightwing #152

This issue follows others in heavily hinting that Dick will be the one wearing the cowl after Bruce. Tomasi is slowing making it seem like Dick is the natural choice, and that the decision may be made by others for him, and not something he seeks. I like how the issue showed how Ra's was grieving over Bruce's death too, just in his own twisted fashion. The death of Batman should have far reaching effects on all characters related to him, good and bad. When he calls Nightwing "Detective" at the end, I had one of those moments when a shiver went down my spine. This is good comics writing with what may be my favorite hero and villain squaring off in a physical and verbal sparring match. I just really like the respect that Ra's has for the Batman family and how that effects his treatment of them.
The art was not perfect, but servicable for my tastes. I thought Ra's looked to old and feeble in this issue. I know he is in the body of an albino, but I still felt he should look more formidable. This issue continues to make me wish that this run by Tomasi would not end.
