This is my favorite book this week. The cliffhanger from last issue turns out to be a red herring, and the killer is truly revealed. Without giving it away, I had suspected this person as being the killer from fairly early on. I like the role of Superman in this story as it shows him in a situation that he has no control over. He provides the human perspective as these cosmic events swirl around him. Of the events in this issue I really liked Metron's fate, and his reaction to it. To me it was a touching moment. The end of the issue provides a cliffhanger that has me excited for the next issue, and I feel like the month until it comes out will be far to long.
The art in this issue is very good, Starlin is a great cosmic artist. Here he provides a classic look for Superman that serves the story well. His depection of the battle between Mr. Miracle and the killer is drawn incredibly well, as the cosmic energy from both combatants really feels powerful.
Overall this issue continues the epic feeling this series has had since the beginning, and sets the stage for the grand finale next issue.
Story: 5 - Excellent
