I just recently started reading Usagi, and I am already loving every part of this series. Usagi is a lighter book than most of the material put out by the big 2 nowadays. This does not mean that Usagi is childish, instead it covers many different situations, some more serious than others, but the art keeps it from being grim and gritty. This was a more serious story of a samurai who dedicated his life to avenging his master's life. The ending was bittersweet as the samurai died failing to fulfill his mission, but Usagi decieved him into thinking he did avenge his master. It was a story that showed the danger of obsession, and also displayed the compassion of the main character. In a world of big event comics, the smaller quieter comics like Usagi are a joy to read for their difference from the mainstream.
