Y'know, I have been reading Peter David comics for about 15 years now. I thought I could see all the beats and rhythms that go into his work. I thought that, while predictable, it was still a lot of fun to hear the voices he gives to each character.

That being said, this issue completely kicked my ass. The reveal on the last page was more of a shock to me than Rictor/Shatterstar or Jamie/Layla, but that's probably because I honestly expected those things to happen at some point. This, though it fits with the arc of the entire series, still blindsided me. As for the rest of the story, it was just as excellent as it ever was.

I love how he writes Longshot. He really gets the feel of natural dumb luck that he pulls off.

I think future Doom is one of my favorite happy moments in the entire run. Hallucinations that are 10 times more pleasurable than anything in Deadpool at the moment. And, hey, am I the only one that learned a new word today?

The art is great. It feels like that Cla$$war book that came out a while ago.I love naked Monet, but I'm pervy that way.

Fantastic issue.
