So I can't decide if Brubaker is a Lost fan or a Vonnegut fan or both.
Obviously the unstuck in time is a great gimmick, especially since it
means that cap is probably going to end up siring a child with the
Trafalmadorian. Sorry I'll stop.
Yes, this was another piece in the
intricate puzzle of Bru's run on Cap. I'm finding it harder and harder
to review the plot driven stories of his run because they all blend so
well together.
When he's fighting Batroc, you can talk about that, but
here he's just working a plan set up almost 3 years ago.
It was a
really good issue and I think the inker really made a huge difference
in Hitch's art. I've always liked it, but this issue gave it a unique
feel.
I like the small nods to other books, like the cap battle suit or
wings on Hank when he shrinks.
I really look forward to the huge fight
next issue as Ares and Buck have very similar personalities.
The
characters are so well defined in this book. I can hear each voice when
I read them.
This issue doesn't stand so well as a number one but is
corner piece to Brubaker's puzzle.
Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 3 - Good
xD! I swear Slaughterhouse V references never get old...
