Wow. I think this was my favorite story so far in Blackest night.

It didn't have a lot of "Oh, shi-" moments, but it really had an atmosphere that I think the main story is lacking.

Obviously, Robinson wanted it to feel like a Jason-esque horror movie, but just because something is well established, doesn't mean it isn't incredibly effective.

I love how we didn't see Kal until it was with a character that would actually survive. It seemed really appropriate, in that, how would anyone know how he looked like if they're all dead?

I also really loved the stuff with the "color" vision. (YOU come up with a better term and I'll use it in my review of the next issue) There was something incredibly awesome about seeing the five color Supes coming at you, about ready to crush your skull.

The art was great and the writing was very solid.
