Man, I remember reading Superman 700 when it came out and it being a
big deal. That has nothing to do with anything, it just astounds me is
all. This issue was great if for no other reason it's the first time
we've seen Kal in the Superman togs in about half a year. I didn't
realize how much I missed him in his own books until I read this issue.
I do think I absolutely hate Project 7734. Other than being a cheap
pseudo pun, the smear tactics they're using are coming off as juvenile
instead of menacing. Does any of the people of Metropolis really buy
that Mon El is a better hero than Supes? Are they really wasting time
hunting to argue over Supergirl? And what possible justification do
either of the people in the secret alliance this issue have for working
with them? I did like the trap at the end, and it should be interesting
to see the pay off having the newly invigorated house of Superman all
together soon.
