I didn't mind the Star Wars joke - it was kind of a pop culture joke, the idea being that some of the heroes and villains are privy to pop culture and some are not.

Agree with the review, however. This was a shockingly good book. The ability to make us care anything about these peripheral characters (even the name 3-D Man seems silly) says a lot for Dan Slott, who is not a writer I have followed in the past.

Of all the SI books that came out this week I enjoyed this one the most. The Skrull Fuckers joke had me rolling, and  then when they explained how they enable themselves to see the new skrulls, I was spitting coke out my nose.

The rest of the issue was just plain fun. I really didnt expect this sort of humor until Deadpool shows up. I usually dont buy The Initiative, but the preview last week sold me and I'm really glad I did. If the whole Secret Invasion was written like this it would triple it's sales.
