If you like books like Hellboy or Buffy you should be reading this book. Phil Hester has created a series with a hilarious cast of characters and a great premise and this issue is even better than the first. Golly is a typical redneck carnie repairman that has been blessed by a big mystic triangle to hunt down evil that didn't get the universes memo about the apocalypse being canceled and in this issue he finds out he's not alone. His dead friend, whose ashes he keeps in a PBR can per his friend's dying request, is his new mentor and all of his freak show buddies get to join in and help too. Hester's writing is superb and even during neccessary expositional scenes, like with Joss Whedon on Buffy, he manages to make the dialog sanppy and keep the pace of the comic moving right along. The art in this issue was solid for the most part although there were some panels that faces seemed a little off, but it's pretty minor. The slightly dirty linework fits with the setting for the most part. So go out and pick up this book and laugh your ass off when you find out what kind of underwear Satan wears.
