Andy Diggle's half of the recent Thunderbolts/Deadpool crossover was atrocious.  And, while his first issue of  Dark Reign Hawkeye had some cool plot points, it also gave the impression that Andy Diggle had not read any of the other Dark Reign titles, or perhaps, ever picked up a Marvel book before.  His dialog and character attributes were so vastly different from every other Dark Reign writer/s ideas, his book almost seem out of canon.

Having all this prejudice going into issue two, I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised.  Maybe Quesada sat him with a primer.  Or, maybe, Bendis, jacked up on caffeine pills and Skrull blood, tied Diggle to a chair and forced him to read every Marvel book he's written in the last decade.  Whatever the method, it worked.  This is a fun book that now, feasibly, fits into the Marvel Dark Reign Universe.

Even the artwork in this issue seemed a little better.  Still some questionable shadows.  but they were here and there, as opposed to, in every panel.
