I tried. I really tried. But I hated the original SeaGuy, and this was no departure from that.
If you liked the original, you will probably like this. Weirdo.

Grant Morrison can be great at making really well thought-out, surreal stories, and grounding them in reality. He can also have srious acid flashbacks and get all goo-goo eyed over pretty colors and weirdness. There's a market for it, clearly. And I'm glad he's found it. But I would love to have him right another story that resonated with the power of We3, Arkham Asylum, or the first 3/4ths of his X-Men run; not in place of his working on series like this or The Filth (which I enjoyed), but as well as them. I'm hoping Batman & Robin will accomplish that.

Ah! One reviewer got the ratings numbers right. Unlike you akamuu, didn't read the original Seaguy, thought I'd give this a shot, as I loved Seven Soldiers (except for MrMiracle and the final issue). Like you, I tried. Story: 1.
