Muppet Show #1 (OF 4)

I really wished I liked the art on this book. The script of this comic was perfect Muppetism. The pacing, the puns, the plot line buried behind the behind-the-scenes frenetecism. The writing was like your favorite Muppet Show episode. Not one of the ones that was brought down by Mrs. Brady trying to prove she was a real actress, or the one with the dancer who you wouldn't have recognized even if you were a cultured adult in 1979, and not a drooling toddler, like I was (I still drool a lot, but hardly ever toddle). This was the cast of Star Wars episode. Or, the one with the stand-up comedian whose name I've never learned, because I've only ever seen him on the Muppet Show Season One DVDs that I watch religiously (though, more Unitarian Universalist than Orthodox Jew).
I know the comic is aimed for children, so they feel they can skimp on art, but damn this was such a fun comic to read that I wanted the characters to look like the characters from the show, and not the weirdly alien-like cartoons that they are in this book.

My money is on adult you. My adult me beat the crap out of my kid me when I got back into comics. It's ok, though. It bought him ice cream afterward, in exchange for not telling my mommy me.

I saw the preview for this and yeah....some of the characters are a bit off model.
This is the comic where the grown up in me and the kid in me are going to duke it out.
