I like to consider myself the somewhat brain washed fanboy type. I love crossovers, and the more books the crossover gets in to, the better. Whenever a character from one book makes a surprise appearance in another book, I am all over it! Thats just me. I have drank (Drunk? Drinked?) the Kool-Aid, and I am hopelessly lost. (See my review of SI #4 for evidence of this.)
That being said, for me, this book was waaaaaay too long for what it accomplished. I already knew Elektra was a Skrull for a long time now, and telling me every little detail about how she was replaced simply held no punch for me. Oh yeah. She dies while fighting off the Skrulls. I have seen her die before. I have seen her die in books, and I have seen her die in movies. I get it. Thats what Elektra does. She dies.
It appears that next issue we will learn about how, and when, Yellowjacket was replaced. In my opinion, they could've combo-ed both stories in to one issue.
Khoi Pham's pencils were good in this book, and I especially enjoyed the layouts. (The lack of dialog further drives home the point that this story could've been wrapped up in half the pages though).
