Guardians Of Galaxy #1

Great book! If you liked the Negation, Infinity Gauntlet, or the classic Guardians series this book is for you. The writers deliver a great first issue packed with action and some real laugh out loud lines. The dialogue between Rocket and Drax was really great. They also did a great job moving on from Conquest. I did not read that and had no problem picking this up and reading it. There was enough explanation for me to get into it and move forward with the issue. I can't wait for more and the ending should have any old school Guardians fan excited. The art was fantastic Pelleteir did such a great job on the Negation and this book is solidly in his wheel house. The characters and locations look great. The panels designs are full of energy and the character moments are handled really well. I hope Marvel locks him into this book for the duration. My prediction, Rocket Racoon is the most talked about character on 08. He will be like Doop from X-Statix.
