Titans #2

I think everyone is being way to hard on this book. The first issue was a little bumpy, but it was just one issue. This issue improves significantly. Story wise one of the big improvements here is getting to see the characters interacting. Their dialogue is crisp and the feeling of old friends starts to come through. For me that is what the last issue was missing, seeing these characters coming together, joking, fighting and reconnecting. That was all framed around what looks to be a really awesome story about (SPOILER) Trigon and his unknown other offspring. I think this Winnick is going to deliver with this arc. The other big improvement for me was the art. It was a huge change but a needed one. Benitez delivers some great pages. Everyone looked really cool, their costumes worked for me in a way they didn't last issue. Especially Donna and Beast Boy, they were both drawn great. There was a lot of expression to the faces, the characters looked unique and different from each other. Yes the girls and guys are still sexy, but I personally don't see the big deal. The day comic heroes and heroines look like the rest of a large part of the fantasy is lost. I am sticking with this one, it is much improved.
