I am still having a hard time arriving at the specific point in which Faustus decided to betray the Red Skull.
Posted by coltrane68 on 08/23/08 at 07:48 AMClearly, it was when he got burned when he was trying to compliment Zola.
Seriously, though, it was probably when Skull exploded at him last issue when the Grand Director's conditioning broke despite Faustus' very clearly telling him the guy was ready for operations. I think he realized that even if something isn't his fault, the Red Skull's still going to blame him for whatever happens. Considering how he treats failure with his own daughter, Faustus probably figured it was only a matter of time before Skull would have him killed for something he probably didn't even do. Thus, he went AWOL.

Nice review. Great overview of the series bringing it forward. I like your take on Skull's plot. Except that Faustus' instructions aren't likely to be what Skull actually wanted to happen, since F is now a betrayer. Hmmm, and then Sin was going to mess them up anyway. Poor, poor Skull. Unless this is all part of his master plan.
So you think the baby was made up? What about Skull & co. knowing about it? I HAVE to go back and re-read these issues to try and get a handle on who did what where.
