Nice review, but really a 5/5 for story? Although I thought it was pretty neat, this seemed more like a bunch of preview ads for Final crisis and everything related. I thought the pacing was also rather odd at parts, with panel placement that just seemed, honestly, bizarre. I found myself going....ok...

I'm not a huge dc fan but I like to keep up with certain titles, and the barry thing I thought was done sorta poorly, anyway I thought it really was all flash no substance and really.....a nice marketing move

Anyway that was my two cents, but good review none the less man!

I saw it as all designed to set up the pins for the stories to knock down and it accomplished that well. I wasn't expecting what I got and I was extremely satisfied with what I got.  And I thought the way they set stuff up for Barry was good and I'm not excited to see the roll-out of it in Final Crisis.

@PatK - It *was* a preview for other stories.  That was the point.  To show people what was going on in the DCU.

@Conor - Yeah, but that's Pat's point.  It's not a "story", so 5/5 for story seems misplaced.  It's a promo book with a not-so-revealing reveal (which I thought was actually Shazam at first, so I wasn't sure what the big deal was; Barry's a bigger deal, of course.)  As a marketing tool, it was fun.  But it wasn't telling a 5/5 "story".  There was no story.  It's trying to sell OTHER stories.  Again, not to say it was boring, which it wasn't, but... it wasn't a story.  It probably should have been free, as it's basically a commercial for DC's upcoming next six to eight months.

First of all, that should say "now excited" up there, not "not excited". Whoops.

And I know there wasn't an interlocking story here, but I really liked the moments and I really appreciated how things were set up.  I really liked the issue, especially for being half a buck.  Thus, I gave it a 5.
