XOMBI #1

You can’t keep a good XOMBI down! The immortal David Kim – kept “alive” by nanotech enhancements – returns to the DC Universe in a new ongoing series! Creator John Rozum and hot BATMAN AND ROBIN artist Frazer Irving team up to deliver the finest in contemporary urban horror – with a Super Hero twist! As an undying, unchanging Xombi, David Kim must watch the world consume itself and burn while humanity grows more distant from each other due to the rise of technology. What would a Xombi do just to feel change again? And where will he ever be able to find a kindred soul?

  1. Frazer Irving, and you must buy.

  2. @WilliamKScurryJr  Yep

  3. I’ve heard about Xombi for a long while and glad to see it’s return.  I really hope this hooks me as a great non-cape DC book.

  4. I really enjoyed Midnight, Mass and think Frazier Irving is refreshingly great, so I signed up for this book.  I hope it’s bad ass.

  5. Never heard of Xombi but I love Frazier Irving.

If my shop has a copy I’ll buy it.

  6. Wow I can’t believe they brought back Xombi. I mean don’t get me wrong, I loved the book back in the day, but…Xombi??

  7. Varient cover by Brendan Mccarthy too???? Holy S***! Take my money!!!

  8. I doubt my shop will have this but if they do I’ll definitely pick it up.

  9. @Paradiddle
If your shop doesn’t even carry this (a DC #1) then why do you bother with your shop?

  10. This was my POTW for being fucking insane. Never read the original run but if this issue brings about everything from that previous run then I’m sure it was insane too. The art by Irving also makes the madness quite beautiful to look at. Count me in for another issue.

    5/5 (POTW)

  11. I also gave the book a 5/5, excellent fun! Also like the McDuffie tribute at the end. I’m definitely in for a few more issues and hoping this book gets the chance to tell all the stories it wants.

  12. This book was more than incredible…. Surpassed my expectations to an infinite degree.

  13. This was a great, great first issue. Has a Morrison era Doom Patrol vibe and a nice mix of spooky horror and humor. Irving’s art is perfectly suited for this sort of story. Looking foward to what comes next.

  14. This was insane, refreshing, a great read with amazing art by Irving. POTW.

  15. Art a 5, story a 3. I was disappointed, but kind of expected to be knowing nothing about Rozum’s CV.

  16. I just love it that a man getting a tub sandwich was a ‘dramatic’ moment in first moments of the issue.

  17. By ‘tub’ I mean tuna.

Damn my stubby fingers and this small iTouch!

  18. This was my pick.

“Which Nun are you? – None of your business!” That cracked me up.

  19. This is just like how I remember Xombi when it first came out. Crazy bizarre fun ideas with laugh out loud humor thrown in. And the art is GORGEOUS

  20. Oh man, this was incredible! Like the best of Morrison except with more humor thrown in. And art by Frazer Irving makes this absolutely a must-buy.

  21. This was a lot of fun … “Nun of the Above”, “Nun the Less”, None of your business!  HAH!  Great story, fun read and the art is super fantas-great!

  22. I bought this completely blind but after the first issue it’s now going in my box. Fantastic art and script.
