Did... did anyone else's heart break with Bizarro crying over Pa Kent's grave? For that much emotion to be put into what at first seems to be a throw-away scene attests to Robinson's potential, but that emotion pays dividends later, leading the reader to feel real sympathy for Bizarro. He doesn't stop with the surprise moments there, either. The Kryptonians killing the Science Police officers, for some reason, surprised me as well. I'm enjoying this crossover, but I feel like it has a lot left to tell, and not many issues left to do it in. Still, it's such a simple idea that makes you realize how potentially close Superman could be to the edge, the Kryptonian actions being merely a logical extension of his Id. Will he be pushed to that edge? We'll have to wait and see. Interesting story, but reads a little fast. I'm also wondering if the colorist has changed? The book looks different from what I remember during, say, the Atlas arc. Speaking of Atlas... glad to see him again. He'll obviously have a part to play.
