still waiting for secret invasion to really impress me - not saying it won't, but it hasn't even really made me thrilled to get the next issue.
some meaningless fighting, some more skrull reveals amidst the old-timey marvel heroes (no surprise here), a soul-crushing page of the sentry's same old song and dance, and the last page looks like more fighting to come.
sigh.
the BEST part of this issue was the moments with hawkeye, but even these weren't terribly believable. i like the idea that he wants to believe it's true - that maybe cap and mockingbird ARE real. it's something that a real person might feel, and it was a nice angle to take, instead of me as a fanboy calling "fake!" on all these heroes who showed up out of time.
that said, hawkeye has to be a bit more cagey than this. would any veteran hero really trust someone as quickly as he does here? i think not, and thus the potentially nice moment here seemed contrived. i hope there's more story and less fightin' in the next issue.
