What can I say? It seems like everything fell into place in this issue. I haven't been the biggest fan of Morrison's run, but it's not so much I think it sucks, more that I'm usually confused as hell at the end. This time, we get alot of answers and I have a much better understanding of what's going on with the 3 Batmen and what is going on with Bruce. I really, really enjoyed this. Batman showed once again why he is and has been the best at what he does. Wait, don't they say that about Wolverine? Oh well, Batman is always thinking. He's always steps ahead. Here, we find out how and why. He's been preparing for that one villain who will beat him. The one villain that will be a step ahead of him and will ultimately be his undoing. The revelations about the 3 cops that were intended to be trained as a replacement to Batman were intense. The young cop referred to as Lane, is one sick SOB and it would seem, Batman is beginning to suspect that he could be the one. As others have said, this would seem to lead into Batman RIP, but I think all of this very much goes all the way back to the first issue that Morrison did on Batman. Just when I thought I was completely lost, he brought me back. The story was phenominal and the art was equally so. I'm a Tony Daniel fan and have been since Teen Titans. His Batman is brooding, powerful and threatening even when he's tied down and shackled. I really loved this issue. I cannot wait for 675!
