For those that don't know, these Gremlins were created by the famous author Roald Dahl. I remember reading about this book coming out in an issue of Wizard months ago. I recently ventured out to another comic store that I don't visit as often. While looking at their giant selection, I came across this book. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but it looked interesting and it had Walt Disney on it too.
Having always been a fan of the old Disney movies, I thought it would be fun. Sure, enough, it was. It really has the look and feel of classic Disney picture like Snow White or Peter Pan. To use a term I don't believe I have used in a review before, I would most easily describe this book as whimsical. I won't go into the whole story, as I believe the description does a good job of that. I'll just say that if you are a fan of those old Disney movies, you'll find that this book will take you back to your childhood. The art is very colorful and vibrant.
One neat addition comes at the end where we get a peak of a reprint of the original comic inspiration from long ago. It tells of the origin of the gremlins and how they came to take revenge on the fighter pilots from the war.
So basically, anyone looking for a nostalgic book of fanciful characters and family friendly fun should check this one out.

Agreed. I grew up reading Roald Dahl as well as watching Disney flicks. Thank god to the bright red cover or I might have missed this one. I remember seeing it in previews but forgot about it like so many other books until I see them on the shelf. Can't wait for #2 and 3.
