Hmmm.  Pretty gumpy review.  Yep, it is just shocking that two comic book characters would start swinging first and talking later.  Of course, that particular trope has been central to both DC and (even more so) Marvel's plotting for the better part of the last thirty years.

Wow, couldn't disagree with this review more. Mikaal and Bill didn't "randomly" meet up. It was explained that they were both tracking people that led them there. That's no worse plotting than a zillion other comics. I felt this book was all about the characters meeting up and finding similar interests. I liked the revelations of character between each of the heroes. GL's threesome anecdote wasn't about using women as sexual objects -- not every mention of sexuality means that that's ALL the character is about. This, in particular, was a way of showing GL's character and what he does and what he'd rather be known for. While not a perfect comic, I certainly didn't find find it a "poor" one.
