Muppet Robin Hood #3 (OF 4)

Writer: Tim Beedle
Artist: Armand Villavert Jr.

Price: $2.99

I am a self confessed Muppet nut but even so I think this book has a lot to offer even non Muppet fanboys. While not as strong as its sister title The Muppet Show, Muppet Robin Hood remains a vastly entertaining tweaking and adapting of the Robin Hood legend by way of our favorite cast of weirdoes and whatnots (and if you pick up the reference in that last sentence consider yourself a true Muppet faithful). That are lots of clever moments in this comic including the reveal of exactly what form the Crusades take in the world of Muppets and the full nature of the trap Prince John sets for our hero. Plus there couple of cameos during the archery contest that will put smiles on any Muppet fans face. Still to reiterate what I said earlier, anyone should be able to enjoy the clever wordplay, terrific visuals, and fun characters that make up this issue. At the risk of being cliché I have to say this comic book is perfect for any child, whether they are eight or eighty.

Highly Recommended.
