Another Secret Invasion this time it's from the view of the X-men and they're new home - San Francisco. And naturally the Skrulls are invading the city and the X-Men preparing for a counterattack. During this Kurt struggles with his faith and a speaking ball, Emma and the Cuckoos trying to locate the mothership of the Skrulls and Angel seems to be a effin' Skrull or he is very fast....
The Issue by itself is okay. An easy but unexciting read but that's my critical point. This are the X-Men and I expect at least something that will eventually lead into the main plot. But how it's seems from the sixth issue of SI that were just gonna get one panel of the X-Men. But it's the second issue and I have faith in Carey to make it atleast interesting for a X-fan. Two things that are uneasy for new readers is the whole "Kurt killed someone"-thing and the "Arch/Angel"-thing which only irritates at this point.
The art is average. It fulfills it's purpose. Only thing that bothers me are the colors, because they look like the "painted" look from Astonishing. That is why I give the art just an "average" and the story an "good", even though there are some irritating sub-plots.
Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average
