I originally thought this issue was overhyped. “its Conor’s pick of course its gonna be a Bat book” and so forth. Even after reading it, I felt it was nothing special. It was a good issue and that’s what I expected.  Then I started writing this review and as I looked through the book some more, it began to click for me.  Morrison knows the pulse of these characters and has thought this out. The art is sweet and so are the panel layouts. I haven’t read All Star Superman, but from these issues the cohesion between Morrison and Quitely is strong.

As for the dynamics between Batman and Robin; they are realistic. That’s all I can say.

A good read, and i guess it was a light week for most people. This barely beats Green Lantern Corps for my pick of the week.

Story: 4 - Very Good Art: 5 - Excellent

I am pretty sure I read that Conor is a big DC-fan but that doesn't necessarily mean Batman was the first book he'd pick. DC probably put out like 15 other books this week, but this and RUN were the best in my opinion.  I didn't see any Superman stuff either though so you're prolly rite.

I rarely pick Batbooks. Maybe five or six times it has happened in the last few years. Up until this point, they haven't been all that great.
