Not since Identity Crisis has the Justice League been so engaging. The idea is that Hal Jordan decides enough is enough and he's going to hunt down Libra's secret society, a plot-line from Final Crisis. So him and Green Arrow go off to start their own Justice League. Both the writing and the art are top notch. James Robinson seems really in his element here. Mauro Cascioli really steals the show in this comic. The pencils have this really delightful sketchy quality and the colors are nothing less than stellar, they invite comparison with Alex Ross. This issue paints a very promising future for the Justice League of America. The only real problem I had with the issue is the overuse of the "justice" device. It started off strong, but when Conga Bill screams out for justice on the final page it seemed a bit silly.
