Published by Devil's Due Press ... a phrase I am not all that often excited about. But now that they have lost the G.I. Joe license it seems like they are taking a lot more chances and in a lot of cases finding their marks. Rest was developed by DDP in conjunction with Milo Ventimiglia ... yeah the guy from Heroes (or as I remember him Jess Mariano). And really it seems like it is going to be a rather cool idea that will make for an interesting mini-series. The Zero issue introduces you to the main character and gives you a bit of an idea of what is to come in a series that will involve a conspiracy that involves a pharmaceutical company that is making a drug that removes the need for sleep from a human being. Never get tired again. Never have to sleep. Never feel the need for an energy boost. Never Rest. It holds a lot of promise and at 99 cents with really, really great art I can't recommend a book that would be better to take a chance on from a small press this week when your wallet is concerned.
