Here's my disclaimer:  I am so into "Secret Invasion" right now, Marvel could slap the logo on a pile of monkey crap and I'd buy it and love it.

This issue was not monkey crap.

This was a collection of short stories that turn the "SI" focus onto different characters in the Marvel Universe.  Now, the stories for the most part are all solid and enjoyable, but what this really does is open up the Invasion a bit, widen the scope on things and make it seem bigger, similar to the "Captain Britain" issues.  No questions are answered here, but blanks are filled in, and some seemingly incomplete moments from the series proper are addressed.  (What happened to Agent Brand?  Why is Captain Marvel at Thunderbolts Mountain?)  This is a one-shot, but I'd buy a few of these as the series progresses.  Of course, what I would buy probably isn't the best judge of things; see the above comment about the monkey crap.
