All right, now that's how you write a Super-book! During the lead up to Infinite Crisis, Geoff Johns did brilliant stuff for the character of Kon-El. In all honesty, he made him likable for me. And to an extent, Johns groomed him into a role more akin to Superman's successor. When Kon-El died in IC, I was disheartened. A part of me really believed, Kal-El would bite the big one. Alas. So it was with much fist pumping that I greeted not only this issue, but Legion of 3 Worlds #4. This issue here is a great, fun read. And the nice thing about it is that I feel comfortable giving it to a younger reader, which is always a plus. While the Blackest Night books had me excited and turning the pages, I was stopping to gape at the fantastic art. It was all very heart warming and funny. Great stuff. Manapul is a brilliant artist and I can't wait to see more. He even makes Kon-El and his costume look good. (I love McKone but sometimes Kon-El looked like he was hitting the roids.) Johns again does a great job of making Kon-El likable. And the last page revelation was fun. The Legion back-up was awesome. Again, a lot of fun. Maybe not quite as accessible as the main story, but I think it's just meant to whet appetites. I have to say, who ever thought to do the little info-boxes was a genius. It really is a good help with casts this large. (Fraction has been doing similar in X-Men and it works well.) All told this was a beautiful package. Well worth the $3.99. Can't wait for more of this book.

I don't know.  This one just didn't really do it for me, especially for 4 dollars!!  I read the whole thing in a minute and a half.

this comic was a breath of fresh air, after all the heavy stuff in blackest night this felt to me like a great smallville episode, great jobs by Johns on a another grat book, (great art by Manapul as well)
