What I loved so much about this is that, where other tie ins have skillfully accommodated secret invasion, often with amazing results, this book feels like secret invasion was written specifically to be a backdrop to this story. The way the things that have been building up in this series came together in the midst of this crazy ass battle, was absolutely perfect. It's like secret invasion is an obstacle that a talented writer can swerve around beautifully, but Fraction and Remender are running over it in a monster truck. This is not a skrull book. This is a Frank Castle book.

Also Howard Chaykin is kickin some ass. He was made to draw Frank shooting people. Frank doesn't look tough. He doesn't look like a mega-badass. He looks poised, confident, and ruthless.
