I have a love/hate relationship with this issue of Dark Avengers. I thought the story was excellent, especially the "interview" with Norman Osbourne, where he answered Clint Barton's accusations about the Osbourne led Avengers. This was Norman as a politician at it's absolute finest. However, the art really dragged this one down for me. The art in this book was a muddled mess. I thought Mike Deodato Jr's storytelling was good at some points, like the Osbourne interview, but just very confusing later on. Between his pencils and the horrendous coloring job, there were times when i didn't even know who was on the page. Rain Boredo couldn't even bother to give Captain Marvel the correct hair color, so when he was walking down the hall and Ms. Marvel called him into her room, I had no idea who he was or where they were. At first, i thought it was Clint Barton for some reason. I have read every Avengers comic Marvel has put out for the last ten years. I should be able to tell who is who in an Avengers book. Te art really took away my enjoyment from what was otherwise a terrific script by Bendis.
Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 2 - Average
