Green Lantern #38

Taste the rainbow! No this isn't a Skittles commercial it is the newest issue of Green Lantern.  Johns is putting Hal through the ringer and how does he come out?  For now he is a Blue/Green Lantern.  We also see the secret behind the Lanterns of Hope, that they are weak and only reinforce the Green Lanterns power.  I like this twist, especially knowing that the leaders of this Corps are former guardians.  Ganthet and Sayd didn't leave the GL Corps willingly, they were drummed out.  So them wanting to help Hal and the others is understandable.  This issue also saw Carol Ferris reimerging as a Star Sapphire.  Most people have probably seen this coming but that doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the story.  I'd like to see Cowgirl get jealous and become a Orange Lantern.  The art was fantastic.  Ivan Reis has done another spectacular job rendering all of the differnet lanterns.  I perticularly like how he portrayed Hal in this issue with all of the different aspects of the assorted Corps.  I'm still waiting for Blackest Night to hit but I'm enjoying the ride there.
