Bendis is really on a roll between the new direction he's taking with New Anvengers and getting freed from Mighty. ( A book I thought lacked direction at times) Osborn Dark Avengers looks to throw dirt in the face of everything the Avengers stand for, and I can't wait. Osborn's sales pitches were spot on, playing on the eagerness of these long time villains to embarass their long times foes. Bendis kept the pacing fast, not spending too much time with any recruit, yet enough to know their motivation. I particularly liked the Mrs. Marvel/Ares/Sentry/Osborn scene where Carol realized she talking to three lunatics. I think that summarizes the Dark Avengers: How long till they implode. Every person on that roster has some deep seated issues, especially their leader. Who's gonna crack first and totally enrage the hero community. Its gonna be fun to see where Bendis goes from here. Art was tonally very good with sharp pencils.
