New Avengers #57

There was a time when I thought of Bendis as overrated and in need of replacing as head writer of the Avengers line.

I am now completely oblivious as to how I ever reached that conclusion.

New Avengers has been a fun ride since I've been reading it (I started at #50), and that is especially true in this issue and overall arc. Unexpected things have happened, characters I've never heard of were brought to my attention, and Bendis continues to handle the core cast well.

Also, I would be remiss to not mention Immonen's unique and solid art.

Overall, I would say New Avengers is a fun package.
