Amazing Spider-Man #580

Amazing Spider-Man #580

WRITER: ROGER STERN
PENCILS: LEE WEEKS
INKS: LEE WEEKS
COVER BY: LEE WEEKS

Price: $2.99

A fill in issue with long time Spider-Man writer Roger Stern coming out of the wood work and bringing with him a really shitty villain. For the record I like Stern but, this issue felt too 80's. Not in the good way anyway. (Spidey saying "what the devil?"..C'MON!!!) Being away from Spidey for awhile shines all to well. If ANY of the writers don't start writing Aunt May better then I am going force them to read Maximum Clonage and show them what their writing reminds me of. (Yes I said Maximum Clonage. God bless the mid 90's) If you can't write May well at all then why the hell do you keep bringing her back? Thank God Lee weeks is good..I would have demanded my money back...er...hmmmmmm....

I didn't even read this one yet but it doesn't look all that special.  I guess it might not be the right time to jump to Marvel after all.

I liked this issue *because* it had this retro feel to it. Also, it's a relief sometimes to have a story wrapped up in a single issue instead of dragging things on and on like they're Tolstoy.

Totally 80's Spider-Man but hey it was kinda fun. Art was great though.
