Angel Revelations #5 (OF 5)

Warren Worthington III - "the most beautiful man in all the world" - fittingly appears here in one of the most beautiful books I've ever seen. The art style used in this origins mini series is unlike any I've seen before with most of the characters drawn in a highly stylised manner, with elongated and disproportionate bodies. Despite the lack of realism, it really works and creates a vivid and gothic atmosphere which suits the setting. Also, the panels are mostly housed in individual frames, as if they were paintings, with each page having a different style. This could have been distracting, but they complement the art and story.
