I feel like I'm still waiting for a the breakthrough issue or storyline from Gail Simone on this character, but that's not to say her work on this title so far hasn't been good or enjoyable. It has been. But I hold Gail in such high regard based on her Birds of Prey and Secret Six/Villains United runs that I'm waiting for her Wonder Woman work to click for me in the same way. Still, she continues to provide solid scripts that work with the established continuity, whether good or bad, and you can see she continues to define a unique voice for the character.
Lopresti delivers solid work on his inaugural issue, and I think he is going to be a fine addtion to a title that is crying out for a consistent artistic presence.
Very Good stuff overall.

I agree! I think Gail is getting her footing on this character. I haven't read WW in a while , ans jumped on with new artist Lopresti. I am thrilled that Etta Candy is back in the book. I just wish Diana had a great supporting cast of friends and villains. I think through the years this has always plagued her. (Although Perez and Rucka did a good job with it during thier runs)
Great issue to jump on, new readers!
