I’m a long time GR fan and have almost every appearance.
Well I liked the idea of this issue and I think that Jason Aaron may be able to do something with this comic. His way of writing is attractive and interesting. Also the story line is a lot like the original Ghost Rider story of Blaze going to small town to small town and kicking the butt of any resident demons, I love that stuff. That’s not to say I enjoyed the issue. There were some things that I have problems with, like Johnny harassing the priest. I don’t know how that would help his cause or that it makes him anything except for a possible villain, I mean, trashing a church? Come on. And I also don’t understand what made Ghost Rider change his bike. It looks cool on the cover but why was it changed? If they tried to change Spider-mans costume people would be up in arms, but since its Ghost Rider they don’t have to care that his bike is part of his look. I can’t say that I am thrilled with the art work either. I don’t like how GR sits on the bike and the handle bars are really weird. The nurse thing is a little weird but I can dig it.
Story: 3 - Good
Art: 2 - Average
I think your right, my biggest problem with the series is the fact that they have given Ghost Rider yet another origin. overall not a bad book but not a great one either.
