Wow, that was really something.
I've read the End League since the beginning, and I'll admit it's been
tough to follow, bi-monthly is a long wait but I was so intrigued I
kept coming back whenever I did see an issue. I actually liked the
original artist and, while I
hate to admit it now, almost didn't get this issue as I'd been thrown
off the previous issue with art the change half way through the book.
I realized though that I was coming back for the story in previous
issues so I grabbed it.
Art? Fantastic. Ron's not kidding when he praises Canete's art. It perfectly captures the mood of the book and works amazingly wellwith Naomi Bakers colours. It's so good it makes me wish the previous issues were this team, and I liked the last guy!
Story? Fantastic. From the re-cap at the beginning, which I found just hilarious (Things are really bad for our heroes...) to the last page which has me damn excited for more, it's good stuff.
Sadly I can't make it my pick, cause this week is ridiculous, but it's some excellent comic booking.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if I was going to love it, but it works so well with this book.

Yeah, I agree. Canete's art is orgamically good. I'm on this series for the art alone, but it's nice to see that the story is taking shape and starting to come together.
