I used to be a Supes-hater. Mostly because I thought he was a boring character because he had too much power. Morrison has taken all that power and turned it against him though. For the first time I really care about Supes and want him to come out on top. In the past I just wanted him to get his ass kicked. Quietly's art doesn't hurt either; you can feel the emotion and pain with every panel.

I've never been so emotionally invested in a comic as I am with this one.  I actually welled up a bit when he saved the goth girl from jumping.  The last page didn't help any either.  Jeez...this is way beyond the book of the week.

Great review.

Incredible! This coming from a guy that wouldn't take/read a Superman comic for FREE before All Star Superman came out. Between Quitely and Frank (Action Comics), Superman looks fantastic in his 70th year! I must have my Absolute Superman when Morrison wraps this up. I crave this more than anything to be absoluted.
