Guardians Of Galaxy #1

Abnett and Lanning are the Bendis of space. I haven't read cosmic stories that were this much fun in a long time. They seem to have defined the voices of many of these characters in Annihilation: Conquest, but the characterizations always seem natural and never forced. I've missed Paul Pelletier's consistently detailed and expressive pencils since I dropped Exiles, and it's great to get him back on a book worth reading. Definitely a great number one issue to pick up if dig the cosmic stuff, even if you didn't read either annihilation event. Most of the characters from Marvel's cosmic past that have been pulled into these new space events have been overhauled so much anyway, that even if you did read the old stuff, you might not recognize them. Definitely my PoW.
