Wow, there sure are a lot of Iron Man comics and trades out this week. I wonder why that is? All-in-all this is a big week of books, with a lot of high profile releases from a lot of companies, beyond the big two even. And does it seem like Mighty Avengers is on a bi-weekly schedule?
I urge anyone who loved the Iron Man movie to RUN, not walk but RUN, and buy the Iron Man: Enter the Mandarin trade that is out this week. It's so much fun and very much in keeping with the spirit of the movie.
Bonus Question: I don't like nuts in my brownies. What don't you like?

Here is my list this week. I thought Kick Ass #3 was suppose to come out. Marvel needs to get their shit together.
BQ: I don't like a lot of things. I would agree with the nuts in the brownies. I don't like nuts in a lot of my foods. I also don't like being unemployed, I actually like doing work.

Kinda slow for me this week, most looking forward to House of Mystery - I'm even breaking my only-read-Vertigo-in-trades rule. Given the creators and the pedigree of the title, I'm hopeful we'll have an modern update on pulp horror that's worth a damn.
BQ: I don't like bacon or eggs in my salad.

Shamelessly excited for Fraction on Iron Man.
And the x-factor one-shot about Quicksilver -- Ramondi back on art (yay!) and Peter David writing Pietro Maximoff is always a treat.
BQ: I don't like tearing the tabs off of Coke cans. I don't like watching people do it. It just weirds me out, I have no explanation.

Excited for Detective Comics - Rann Thanagar, and Secret Invasion to a lesser degree. Wasn't going to read Fraction's Iron Man but have decided to get on board. You only live once or so.
BQ: Root Beer (or any other kind of soda) Floats. I'm disgusted just thinking about them.

Big week for me (8 books), which is light for others, I guess. Most looking forward to some new series (Invincible Iron Man, House of Mystery), the Justice League Special (to learn more about Libra in preparation for Final Crisis), Nova, and of course Secret Invasion.
BQ: Any dish that involves the blending of eggs and cheese. Yes, that includes omelettes.

Pretty good week this week.
Secret Invasion, Suburban Glamour TP, The Question TP what more can I ask for? :)
I don't like rasins in general or mayonaise in my sandwiches. Oh and I don't like coconut or anything fruity mixed with my food with the exceptions of Orange Chicken from Panda Express, Honey Chicken and Lemon Chicken from Pick Up Stix.

Looks to be an interesting week... Action Comics annual... How late is that issue? A year? And it's... 48 pages? Maybe? So that's... what? A page a week? Even I can't defend that...
But yeah... Buffy, Angel, Mighty Avengers, and SECRET INVASION... Something that I think the companies should note: never ship a major event in the first week of a fifth week month...
Bonus Question: There's a lot of stuff I don't like... Pickles, cucumbers, nuts, lots of vegetables... Stuff like that... I'm just coming around to tomatoes, though... and all my onions must be grilled =p

Didn't think I was going to have so many books this week. I am looking forward to that DC reprint of the original Justice League issue where Libra gets the Injustice Gang together.
Not sure about Mighty Avengers. I may read it off the shelf.
BQ: Ketchup on a Hot Dog makes me want to vomit.

Looking forward to this week. Buffy #14, Angel #7 and Nightwing #144. They've all been consistently great, but I'm most excited about Nightwing. This series just owns right now!

I'm looking forward to reading Quicksilver as scribed by Peter David again. I'm looking forward to Batman and Zatanna. I'm hoping that Logan ends with a, um, bang.
My masochistic experiment of the newer x-titles is over: no Cable or Young X-Men pulls from me. I wanted to see how bad these titles were, and now I've had my fill.
BQ: I too don't like nuts in my brownies, or my cookies, or my anything. I'm allergic to all nuts except almonds.

I think I'm slipping away from my "only buy the essentials" comic philosophy. Or maybe there are just a lot of good books out right now. Either way, this is hurting my poor college student wallet.

Ahhhh it's one of those good weeks. There is nothing on my list that I'm NOT excited for. If you made me choose I'd probably say House of Mystery is at the top of my list. New series from writers I adore, I want to see what it's all about.
BQ: I generally don't like when you combine sweet and meat. It's unnatural. For example, Honey Glazed Ham is very unappealing to me.

Apparently this is the Indie week from hell. Not that I mind at all. In fact, quite the opposite. Really wanting to see how some of this stuff turns out, especially PRETTY BABY MACHINE and the THREE SHADOWS book. Probably review them both at some point for the site.

I only have four books on my pull-list. Looking forward to Detective Comics and Nightwing the most. I LOVED the Iron Man movie and I think I'll pick up the new ongoing and perhaps the trade. I already picked up the hard cover of the New Avengers in anticipation of the dang sequel. Slowly but surely the Marvel universe is pulling me in.

I should be waiting for the trade on Avengers/Invaders, but I just don't want to wait for it. I am waiting for the trade on Iron Man: Viva Las Vegas, though. As for my books this week, all of which will clearly be AWESOME, I can't decide which to be most excited about. Secret Invasion, Mighty Avengers, Iron Man, and Avengers/Invaders are probably the ones that have me the most jazzed and that's the group that will likely have my own personal POW, but we'll see.
BQ: I can't stand nuts in brownies or almost anything else.

I can't take it. Way too many comics coming out this week, I don't think I can handle it.
Most looking forward to Secret Invasion and Buffy.
Wondering if The Boys is really worth it, I haven't been extremely impressed, we'll see.

Man, so many comics this week, which makes cutting back so, so hard. I'm most looking forward to SI #2, Nova, Nightwing, and Gemini #1 (I think I have a secret obsession with Jay Faerber...).
BQ: My top 3 dislikes of the moment:
1) Being so broke, I feel physical pain at not being able to afford my hobbies because my adult stuff is getting in the way.
2) Paying $60 to fill up my gas tank.
3) Being at work right now. Ugh. Me need sleepy.
On the plus side, in regards to food, I pretty much eat anything. So I got that going for me.

House of Mystery,Logan,Secret Invasion and Mighty are all on my list. Totally looking forward to the Man With No Name and Pretty Baby Machine but may wait for the trades on those.

This Grant Morrison thing is catching on...went to Midtown last night to grab the early Morrison JLA trades and the guy at the register said "what's up with Morrison JLA today, you are the third person today to come in here for this..." had to say "It's Ifanboy's Grant Morrison week!"

Proud to say there are only Marvel titles on my pull list. Unfortuantely, there are only three. This could be good because I have a 60 page chapter on Refrigeration that I have to somehow force into my brain this week. Most looking forward to Secret Invasion, but I'm also really enjoying the current arc in Punisher War Journal, though I'm not much for the art.
BQ: I have never really liked AlexG's profile picture. It looks like a frog Prince Valiant on acid.

Peter David's got his hands on Quicksilver again, and that's great.
I'm over the Avengerlessness of Mighty Avengers and might be ready to love again with this issue, which I gather from the cover is about some sort of vampire Captain America.
Can't wait to find out what's going on in the Savage Land, of course. Plus, now I know Spider-Woman is like a quintuple agent (whose motives are COMPLETELY arbitrary-seeming) so that adds some spice to SI #2.
And this Buffy arc is becoming pretty absorbing, too.
And Logan and Favreau and Spidey, oh my!
BQ: Oatmeal raisin cookies should be banished, due to a resemblance to chocolate chips that inevitably results in crushing disappointment for the inattentive biter.

Nothing ruins a delicious baked good more than nuts. I can't agree more. Although I do love Hershey's with Almonds.

@cormano -- OMG, I got that Iron Man helmet cup from 7-11 and it is the most nonfunctional cup in the world. It doesn't fit in the cupholder in the car and is almost impossible to drink out of! (Ironically, the only thing I can imagine drinking out of it is a fruity alcoholic drink, which is both tasteless and appropriate). Still, I have it on my kitchen counter b/c it's awesome.
