Smallville - S09E04 - Echo

Tonight's episode - Echo

Let's put last week's unfortunate zombie misstep behind us, shall we? Time for some classic Superman villain action with the always vaguely child molestery creepy Toyman!

As always, I look forward to your thoughts, opinions, gripes, live-blogging, etc...

And I shall read them when I return next week.

Kryptonians have a special kind of intuition? What?

@redlibertyx it's a temp power, some kind of trail from Jor-El.

So...is Mercy the new Lana Lang? Will her appearances just drag down the rest of the show?

Posted by redlibertyx on 10/16/09 at 08:25 PM

That's a hell of a creepy laugh.

Everytime I see a preview for The Box I expect Frank Langella to go "I'm not a crook."

Man, I hate Toyman says. I always lose.

Toyman says, fetch me a pizza.

You'd figure he would forget that there's a bomb under his feet. It's just one of those things that always slips the mind.

OK that was just deeply disturbing.

Tune in next week when Ollie cuts himself.

The chick who played Ruby from Supernatural s3 is on Melrose Place? Yowza.

Posted by coleman on 10/16/09 at 08:50 PM

Wait? We don't get to see the bad guy get captured? This is just like the doomsday fight all over again!

Didn't that Ruby chick get arrested for something?

Posted by redlibertyx on 10/16/09 at 08:51 PM

Was that wink necessary?

Ok so despite the odd/weird and not necessarily well written things that are going on this season I am enjoying the dark overtones.....I'm probably going to get flamed for saying that. I'm interested to see what they do with Toyman and Metallo's heart though.

I looooove the Clark and Lois stuff this season!!

Has me rooting and even more on my toes than I was for Clark and Lana back in the day *GASP*

Well, I have to say it.  This show has now turned into every other incarnation of Superman that was ever developed for TV.  We used to have a flawed Clark and an interesting Lois, but from now on, it appears he will have no personality and make no mistakes and Lois will pine like a 1950's schoolgirl and the audiences will cry "Will they or won't they??".  One good thing is that they have turned Oliver into the bastard that he is.  I loved him when he was introduced, but they've done a great job of illustrating a fuckup that we all know and love.

Good, not great.  Chloe seems to be ever-more minimised.  What's the chances of us actually seeing the return of Lex this year?
