All I know is that when this was announced at whatever con it was, the standing room only crowd went BANANAS. Shockingly low number of pulls based on that.

I'm a liiitle confused...this is a one-shot right? Anywho, yeah Magik is a pretty rad character...but again...Marvel with the $3.99'ers...it's killing me.

I still dont understand why she is popular...Okay she uses magic and is related to Colossus...what else is there to her?
I'm not saying I wont pick it up, it could be a decent read at my LCS, I'm just curious on why (like conor stated) everyone went so crazy when it was annouced she was returning.

I love Magik, but this is all reprints. I have all of these issue except one. I'm not paying 3.99 for one story and a new cover. Really looking forward to Infernus!!! And I loved Magick.

I stopped reading comics after Inferno just because they took her out of the action. I'm really looking forward to her return. That said, $3.99 is insane for reprints.

I really like all these stories -- and, as a way for Marvel to remind people of Magik, nd who she is, this makes sense. That said -- I like the stories, but they are all reprints. Not even a smidge of a six-page things to get us going. Low blow, Marvel.

Sadly, I didn't pay enough attention to this until I'd bought it and got home to discover what the solicitations would have told me - that it's all material that I already own and have read. Still, all good stories for those who haven't read them, and a fair bit of content for 3.99, but a waste of my money nonetheless.

The old New Mutants stuff is collected in recent trade paperbacks called New Mutants Classic. Three volumes out so far.

I got this because I think the cover is beautiful and I only had one of the three stories. I thought the stories were pretty strong. They left me a little confused about how she came back to life. Blindfold just basically said that she just did. I didn't read any Young X-Men, is there a better story of how she came back. I'm jazzed for Infernus now.

The return of Magik was told in New X-Men (Quest for Magik, #37-41), and was pretty enjoyable (in my opinion). As for how she returns, her old tormentor from Limbo, Belasco, uses magic to conjur her back to life (more or less). She doesn't appear to be all there and her motivations are changed from her original character, so I think that we should expect her to behave more as a villain, or to at least be more on the dark side.

I am seriously not trying to sound like a smart ass here but who besides the 12 pulls at the time of my writing this was chomping at the bit for Magik to come back? I never knew she had a fanbase enough to ressurect her after almost 20 years.
