X-Factor #31

X-Factor #31

Never has a title said it all quite like "The Middle East Side is Burning." X-Factor's battle with Arcade may be over, but the former Mutant Town is now paying the price. Walled in, cut off from any possible aid, the residents of the Middle East Side are hemmed in by flames on all sides, and their only hope of survival are the embattled members of X-Factor.

Raimondi on pencils again?  I hope that's right.  I wish this book had a consistent artist, but in any case it will be nice to see him again.

@joeb1lack  -- what's the story on Stroman?

Back in the day (1991) when X-Factor switched from the original team to the part of the team that it is today (#71), Peter David and Larry Stroman were the team on first arcs. After that he attempted to do his own book Tribe, but it didn't take off. He recently drew part of the Black Panther Annual, but on X-Factor #33 he is joining Peter David again. There run on X-Factor was spectacular and one of my favorite X-book runs ever.

Oh, that's awesome.

I saw PAD on a panel a few moths ago and he went on a bit of a rant about how hard it is to write comics when you don't know who the artist will be or don't have a good sense of their strengths and weaknesses.  And I was thinking, "Tell us how you really feel about X-Factor, Pete."  Unless he's changed a lot, Stroman's style is pretty different from what this book has been like since the relaunch, so it will be interesting to see how that works here.
