Wolverine Weapon X #2

Wolverine Weapon X #2

"THE ADAMANTIUM MEN"
Wolverine travels to Colombia to track down leads on Blackguard, the private military contractor who's recently come into possession of the old files from Weapon X. But instead of the hunter, Logan becomes the hunted when he learns the hard way that Blackguard has already put those Weapon X files to use, giving birth to Strikeforce X, the most fearsome team of super soldiers that Logan has ever encountered.

The first issue was pretty good, but not quite $3.99 good. The quality of this issue will decide its fate on my pull list.

I'm sorry, but glowing green claws are fucking awesome

I'm with you Rustyautoparts (using Ron pronunciation), this book needs to prove its pull-worthiness to me with issue #2, #1 was ok but not great.

#1 was the definition of a pure setup issue. I trust Aaron so i'll give him more slack to see where he goes with this. If the whole first arc is bad then it's off but with Aaron's track record i find that unlikely

I thought #1 was great.  The part with the grenade was classic Aaron.

I didn't think I would actually be pulling a Wolerine Monthly.

haven't read it yet, but that cover is sweet looking.

Lots of action, and a great line from Wolvie.  Good-looking book too.  Glad to be reading this.

Lots of action, but almost too fast a pace.  I think this took like five minutes to read, so was a little unsatisfying.

This was a serious improvement over the previous issue, and the cliffhanger was much more exciting as well. Wolvie traps excite me.

Well, this went from the chopping block to being my pick of the (slow) week. Looks like I'll be sticking with it for at least the rest of this arc. I think I was just put off by the fact that last issue was all set-up.

Posted by Rustyautoparts on 05/20/09 at 11:54 PM

Yeah, this was surprisingly stellar. I'm a lot more excited about this series now.

I wish I'd enjoyed Wolvie's movie as much as I've enjoyed these past two issues!!

you have to hand it to Jason Aaron, having a whole bunch of dudes slashing at each other for extended periods of time is a hell of an idea for a comic.... and i'm not being sarcastic

This next issue has the potential to be as good as Wolverine taking apart the Hellfire Club during the Dark Phoenix Saga.

Fingers crossed.

This was good stuff and a definite improvement on issue 1.  There's more substance in this issue and there's some really nice action sequences from Garney.  Worth seeing where this goes from here...

Not impressed with this issue. Fight scenes and tons of guys with glowing claws made for a super fast read. I don't feel like I got much from this issue. Dropping the book. Trade waiting.

He got me when he started singing Hank Williams...
